Naturally dyed NON superwash worsted weight yarn from Spanish alpaca and merino. 

100 gr/ 200 m 

50%  Spanish merino 

50%  Spanish alpaca

Wolk is the perfect companion for quick and thick wintery projects, it is quite versatile and a good match for both colourwork and cables. Merino gives it that spongy, soft feeling while alpaca provides sleekness, beautiful drape and a nice halo around it. I've dyed the skeins with natural dyes such as: indigo, dyer's weld, madder, cochineal, lac and red onion skins. 

The yarn base was made by Wooldreamers, a Spanish family business that set up to save the once world famous Spanish wool and and wool industry. They focus on sustainable flocks with extensive, transhumant and regenerative management. Learn more about their mission on their website. 

One of the characteristics of plant dyeing is that there will never be two completely identical skeins, so for larger pieces, it is recommended to alternate the skeins during knitting so that there is no noticeable contrast. 

Although I do everything I can to ensure that the yarns do not lose their colour, I rinse them several times after dyeing, but I still advise that if you use several different colours in one knit, wash the skeins first to make sure that the different colours do not touch each other.
