Rustic Christmas - Advent Calendar

A very limited naturally dyed advent calendar for those who like special breeds and not afraid of yarns with a more rustic touch. 

The calendar contains in total 600 gr of DK weight yarn from Wensleydale sheep wool.
Most of them comes in naturally dyed mini skeins but it contains also bigger undyed skeins with natural dyestuff and instructions, so that you can add a personal touch to your project by creating your own colourway. The colour…well It will be a surprise, something natural, something to play with. 

Besides yarn you will find some artisanal stitch markers, handmade ceramic decoration, a handmade project bag and some special tea to enjoy the Christmas cosiness. 

I will use recycled papers for wrapping but I'll make it beautiful! 

Some ideas of what you can knit with the yarn: 

A colourwork sweater or vest  (depending on the size) if you dye the bigger skeins in one color, this way you can have a unicolor bodice. 

A faded sweater using the fading technique with any simple sweater pattern. 

A striped sweater or vest alternating the bigger unicolor skeins with the minis. Shawls: one huge, two normal sized and many Sophie’s. 

You can make a cropped 3/4 or short sleeved sweater (like Ranunculus from Midori Hirose) and a shawl (the dimension of the later depends on the size of the sweater)
